Who this workshop is for

Junior engineers, technical designers and companies onboarding staff who want a practical workflow for façade calculations.

Prerequisite: basic statics, including equilibrium, forces and moments. You should be comfortable reading dimensions and working with units.

What you will learn

  • Identify support restraints and represent them in a calculation model.
  • Calculate tributary widths and dead loads.
  • Convert pressure into line loads.
  • Calculate support reactions and check equilibrium.
  • Distinguish serviceability and strength cases.
  • Prepare a traceable load schedule linking drawing inputs, assumptions, loads and reactions.

Three-hour workshop format

The instructor led workshop uses worked calculations and practical exercises. The teaching sequence moves from drawing inputs and support restraints to tributary widths, dead loads, pressure-to-line-load conversion, reactions and a traceable load schedule.

01 · Build the model

Read drawing inputs, identify support restraints and calculate tributary widths.

02 · Apply the loads

Calculate dead loads and convert pressure to line loads. Separate serviceability and strength cases.

03 · Check the record

Calculate reactions, check equilibrium and prepare a traceable load schedule.

The detailed session timetable will be confirmed with the participant material before booking opens.

Learning material

Participant materials are being finalized. The confirmed teaching approach is worked calculations and practical exercises; downloadable files, recordings, access and support terms will be described before registration opens.

A participant preview is not available for release yet.
