Mullions are members that form vertical elements between units of windows, doors, screens or glass curtain walls. The combination of mullion (vertical) and transoms (horizontal) provides rigid support to glazing. A mullion design is based on the material of the member which is aluminum normally. The mullions are the structural parts that take the horizontal loads like wind load. Here an example of an Aluminum Mullion Design based on CSA-S157-05 and wind load is provided.
